Life is filled with many tough seasons. In fact, God ensures us that we will definitely face challenges, and will go through various trials and tribulations. However, He also promises that He will deliver us from our troubles. The fact that God said that we would go through trials and tribulations confirms that we will in fact get through them. Trials and tribulations are designed for us to go through, not to stay stuck in. Within life there are various seasons. Some seasons are good, while others are unbearable. Regardless, you must analyze each season and figure out what God is trying to show you. What is He trying to teach you in this season? What area is He trying to strengthen you in? Remember that there is a purpose for everything. You don’t just end up places; everything you experience within life serves as purpose. You have to see the reality of a thing and not what it appears to be.
In the bible, at the age of 17, Joseph began having dreams of God’s plan(s) for his life. God showed him that he would be in authority, and would rule over people. However, shortly thereafter, he was betrayed by his brothers (family), sold into slavery, got lied on, got fired, thrown into prison under false evidence, misused, abandoned, etc. It appeared that Joseph’s circumstances did not match the vision that God had planned for him. Are you in that same season right now? Where your life doesn’t match your heart’s dreams/visions? Is what God promised you vs what you’re experiencing right now not matching up?And, if just one more thing goes wrong, you’ll be done with God and life? If so, I encourage you to keep living, keep believing and never lose your trust in God because there are many things within life that we cannot see nor understand. Everything in your life right now is serving the purpose that God has over your life.
Joseph kept his eyes on God’s vision, and persevered through every unbearable season of his life; and because of his faithfulness and perseverance, ultimately, at the age of 30, Joseph became the top ruler over an entire country. He became a national leader.
See, Joseph was a leader all along; however, those trials and tribulations served as training to test his character, build his mindset, faith, and to eventually promote and develop him into a great success. Your trials and tribulations are doing the same for you! Know that you have so much purpose inside of you. And you are already everything that God has ordained for you to be. You just have to go through the seasons to get to that place to become who you truly are. You are not struggling…. You are becoming.
Note: You can find the amazing story of Joseph in Genesis 37 – 50. It’s one of my favorites!
